Probably On Thursday Lyrics

"Probably On Thursday" was originally recorded in 1967 by a singer named Ross Hannaman.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice wrote this song and it was the b-side of her single "1969".

Sarah recorded her version as a demo in Paris in 1989.  Sarah's version has a slightly different melody and some additional lyrics that were written by Tim Rice.

An original copy of the Ross Hannaman single is incredibly rare, but her songs have been re-issued on the Tim Rice CD "
That's My Story."
Probably On Thursday
Ross Hannaman's Version

Can you see all of me?
I am hiding nothing.
Must you stay so far away?
Won't you whisper something?

You'll go and leave me,
don't have to tell me,
don't have to tell me!
You'll be unfaithful
probably on Thursday.
Probably on Thursday.

I would do anything,
sit and count your flowers.
Give to you my everything
for just a few more hours!

You never listen,
you want to hurt me,
you want to hurt me!
You'll be unfaithful
probably on Thursday,
probably on Thursday.

I spend all my precious time
wishing you would love me.
You are trying hard to find
ways to get rid of me.

You used to love me.
Look at you now, love!
Look at you now, love!
You'll be unfaithful
possibly on Wednesday.
Probably on Thursday.

You'll be unfaithful
possibly Wednesday.
Probably on Thursday.
Sarah's Version

Can you see all of me?
I am hiding nothing.
Must you stay so far away?
Won't you whisper something?

You're going to leave me,
you don't have to tell me,
you don't have to tell me!
You'll be unfaithful
probably on Thursday.
Probably on Thursday.

Every day, every night
leaves the same impression.
All I need and all I want
is a true confession.

Each silent moment
tells me the story,
tells me the story.
You'll be unfaithful,
probably on Thursday,
probably on Thursday.

I spend all my precious time
hoping you will love me.
You are trying hard to find
ways to get rid of me.

You never listen,
you want to hurt me,
you want to hurt me!
You'll be unfaithful
possibly on Wednesday.
Probably on Thursday.

You're going to leave me,
you don't have to tell me,
you don't have to tell me!

You're gonna leave me,
possibly on Wednesday,
probably on Thursday.

Possibly on Wednesday,
probably on Thursday…

Probably on Thursday…
Probably on Thursday…
Probably on Thursday…
Probably…
